Welcome to Westcotes Bowls Club
Westcotes bowls club play a mixture of League and Friendly fixtures throughout the summer months.
We would always welcome new members of any age, gender and ability to come and join us.
We have a Licenced Bar and a Music Licence along with Catering and Disabled facilities.
The club is available for private hire and we provide secure parking for non members for all Leicester City FC home fixtures during the football season.
110th Anniversary
In 2026 the club is celebrating its 110th anniversary and events include a short Tour in June and a fixture against the counties management team in July.
2026 also sees the appointment of its first lady Club president, Kerry Marriott.
2025
2025 was quite successful in that the Men's team won promotion to the top Division of the Leicester and District League on Wednesday evenings and both our Mixed gender teams in the Tuesday South Leicester League maintained their standings in the top two divisions.
Our friendly teams also had a winning seasons in their Thursday and Saturday matches
2026 president Kerry Marriott also maintained her place in the County Ladies team

On a sad note. One of our longest serving members and twice past president Ron (the Rocket) Gold passed away on the 7th February 26 and will be greatly missed Ron was one of the driving forces behind our charity fundraising for the Guide Dogs for the Blind The Club have raised over £3000 and we hope by the end of this season to name a Dog Rons Funeral 10am Mon 9th Mar at Gilrose
